Privacy and compliance

Privacy as a foundation, not a checkbox.

Baseera connects participants with practitioners. We do not host, record or transcribe sessions — they happen directly between you and your practitioner, on the video tool you agree on together.

Our role: facilitator, not clinic

Baseera is a directory and matching service. Practitioners work independently and remain responsible for their own clinical records, notes and session content. Baseera never joins a session, never receives recordings and holds no clinical notes.

What we hold, and for how long

We store only what an introduction needs: your intake form, contact details and preferences, plus practitioner applications and verification documents. Intake data goes straight to our small team, never to a public listing. We keep it while we support your matching and delete it on request.

GDPR and your rights

We process personal data under the EU GDPR. You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time, and withdraw consent without giving a reason. Health-related details shared in the intake form are treated as special-category data and are seen only by the people arranging your match.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Uploads such as CVs and identity documents sit in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed links for the admin. Access is limited to the smallest possible number of people and reviewed regularly.

No data sold, no AI training

We never sell personal data, and nothing you share with Baseera is used to train AI models.

Choosing a video tool

Practitioners state which tools they use — WhatsApp, FaceTime, Google Meet, Zoom or another. Encryption, recording and retention on those tools follow the tool's own terms; agree with your practitioner before the first session, and never record without consent.

Payments

Fees are agreed with the practitioner. Baseera charges a modest commission agreed in advance with each practitioner — kept deliberately lower than the usual market rate — and neither processes nor stores card details. Practitioners are paid directly by us or, because transfers to Syria are currently restricted, through a trusted third person.

Not for emergencies

Baseera is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or nearest emergency department.
